Weekly Stars Rewards Freerolls
These free poker tournaments offer incredible value. However, the Weekly Stars Rewards are not true freerolls since you need a ticket that can only be earned from the Stars Rewards chests. Each time you open a Red or Blue Stars Rewards chest, you have a 10% chance of winning a ticket to the weekly $5,000 Added PokerStars freeroll, which has an average value of 33¢. When you open a Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum Stars Rewards chest, you have a 10% chance of winning a ticket to the weekly $10,000 Added PokerStars freeroll. Although the prizepool for this free PokerStars tournament is only double, the average value is much higher ($2.33) because there are far fewer entries.
School Pass Poker Freerolls
Join PokerSchoolOnline.com for FREE to get School Pass tickets. You will receive some freeroll tickets just for signing up, and can then earn more by participating in quizzes, inviting friends, etc. These freerolls are pretty worthless (1-3¢ each), so you should only join PokerSchoolOnline if you plan to take advantage of their free poker training or compete in The League. If you are new to poker, then this is a great resource, and the School Pass freerolls allow you to practice what you learn.
The Big Bang Freeroll
The most common way to qualify for The Big Bang freeroll is via School Pass Big Bang satellite tournaments. These PokerStars freerolls run every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. Although the Big Bang main event is worth $2.24 on average to each participant, the satellites only reward 9 seats each, making their prizepool a measly $20.18. These satellites typically get 700 to 1,150 entries, so their value is just 2-3¢.
The only time The Big Bang is worth playing is if you win a ticket directly to the $5,000 Main Event by playing in The League.
PokerStars Freeroll Satellites
PokerStars frequently run satellites to upcoming live PokerStars tournaments, such as the Trip to Bahamas Freeroll. The final prize package from these freerolls is usually worth several thousand dollars, and the opportunity to travel to a major PokerStars live event is incredibly exciting. However, there are typically multiple tournaments you must progress through before you get the opportunity to compete for the big prize, so you will need all of the tournament poker tips you can get! As a result, the value of the individual freerolls is typically just 1-3¢!
