888 Poker Loyalty Rewards

Although there are plenty of 888 Poker freerolls for all player categories, they are very low value due to a small prize pool. Even worse, most 888 Poker freerolls are rebuy/add-on tournaments and the money collected is not added to the prize pool until it exceeds the guarantee. As a result, the “free” portion is far smaller than suggested!

In addition to low value freeroll tournaments, the 888 Poker rakeback rewards program is one of the weakest of any online poker site. Players earn 2 Status Points (SPs) for every dollar of cash poker rake contributed or tournament fee paid. SPs determine a player's Status level (Blue, Iron, Chrome, Copper, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, VIP, and VIP Diamond). You earn a ratio of Reward Points to SPs based on status level, from 1 reward point per SP for Blue, Iron, Chrome, and Copper, up to 18 reward points per SP for VIP Diamond. Reward points are used to purchase items from the online shop or converted directly to cash. If you play poker for money online, there are far better sites to choose from!

888 Poker Bonus

888 Poker has one of the worst poker sign-up bonus offers of any online poker site: a 100% deposit bonus to a maximum of $400. Players earn the bonus in $10 increments, which are released for every $50 paid in rake or tournament fees (only 20% cashback). You have 90 days to earn the bonus.

However, 888 Poker does offer high value first depositor freerolls, which does improve the value of the total sign-up offer significantly. New players get access to a single $100k First Depositor's Challenge, which has a value of $3.80, as well entry to 7 $500 First Depositors Freerolls, valued at $1.37 each.

Maximizing Your 888 Poker Rakeback

Obviously, to maximize the benefits of any poker online rewards program, players should play as many freeroll poker tournaments as possible. However, most players will find that the 888 Poker freerolls are hardly worth the time it takes to play them since their individual value is so low. If you do play these events, you should NEVER rebuy or take an add-on. Although refusing to rebuy/add-on dramatically reduces your chances of winning, it is still better to play for free than to be one of the suckers paying off the “free” money.

Unlike most online poker rooms, 888 Poker does not give players the option to spend reward points on tournament tickets, or to buy into special tournaments. As a result, the only real option for spending your points is to convert them to cash. Regardless of level, reward points are converted to cash at a rate of $1/100 points, and the lowest amount you can receive is $10, which requires 1,000 points. You also cannot choose to convert some of your points – all of them will be converted.

Since each reward point is worth $0.01, you can quickly calculate the price of all items offered in the online shop. If you can buy the same item cheaper someplace else, then save your points and convert them to cash instead. The only exception to this is players who will never earn 1,000 points – they may as well spend them and get something for them than let them go to waste. Even the most overpriced item is a better bargain than buying rebuys during the “freerolls”.
