Full Tilt Bonus Analysis

The Full Tilt VIP program (called Edge) uses Full Tilt Points (FTPs), which are earned at a rate of 10 FTPs for every $1 contributed in rake or tournament fees. FTPs can be used to buy into daily points tournaments (with real money prizes), purchase tournament tickets, or purchase ring game tickets.

$2.00 / 100 FTPs

$2.50 / 100 FTPs

Status levels in Edge are earned either by earning a minimum number of FTPs during a 30-day rolling window or a 100-day rolling window. If you achieve Silver status or higher, Full Tilt will reward you with weekly payments.

Full Tilt offers at least one online poker freeroll every hour, although many of these tournaments have extremely low value (typically just 1¢). Unless you enjoy grinding for pennies, the only freerolls worth playing are the weekly Bronze Edge Freerolls.

There are also multiple Edge Leaderboards, which award the top 3 FTP earners each week with cash prizes ($500, $300 and $200). With only 3 winners per week, most players will never win these prizes.

Full Tilt Poker Bonus

Download Full Tilt poker using any of the banners on this site to receive a 100% poker bonus to a maximum of $600. Although this may not sound as attractive as other deposit bonus offers, the Full Tilt deposit bonus is actually one of the best sign-up offers available online for casual and enthusiast players! You have up to 60 days to opt-in to the bonus offer, and 60 days after that to earn the sign-up bonus, which is earned at a whopping 40% rakeback (you earn $1 for every $2.50 generated in rake or fees).

Although a hardcore professional player would undoubtedly earn a bigger bonus from poker sites with a bigger bonus amount, lower limit players will find Full Tilt one of the better options due to the high rakeback percentage.

Maximizing Your Full Tilt Rakeback

If you generate more than $2,000/week in rake, you can try to win the $500 Edge Leaderboard prize. However, you will need to exclusively play one of the less popular games (like HU Ring games), and even then, you would need to generate $4,500/week in rake to consistently win the $500 prize, which equates to 11% additional rakeback.

Based on what you can buy with your FTPs, we have calculated that Full Tilt equates $1 to 200 FTPs (about 5% rakeback). The best use of FTPs on Full Tilt is their weekly points tournaments, followed by their Daily Edge tournaments: (the less FTPs per dollar, the better):

  • 100 Points Tournament [$500 Prize Pool]; Saturdays
    • 2:45pm UTC: great value (avg. = 72.6 FTPs/$1)
    • 10:45pm UTC: great value (avg. = 93.2 FTPs/$1)
  • The Daily Edge [25 FTPs; $500 Prize Pool]
    • 2:05am UTC: great value (avg. = 86.5 FTPs/$1)
    • 8:05pm UTC: good value (avg. = 160.1 FTPs/$1)

If you earn more FTPs than you can spend on the above tournaments or the prizes are too small to make them worth your time, the next best option is to purchase Sit & Go tickets. Always purchase the Game of the Week tickets as these offer significantly more value than a regular Sit & Go ticket of equal value. For example, a 50¢ Sit & Go ticket costs 120 FTPs, whereas a 50¢ SNG of the Week costs just 95 FTPs. You also get more value from your Full Tilt Points if you purchase higher value SNG tickets. For example, the 50¢ SNG of the Week ticket costs 190 FTPs/$1, but the $115 SNG of the Week ticket costs 173.9 FTPs/$1. You can also purchase tournament tickets, although these offer slightly worse value (218 FTPs/$1 for a 55¢ MTOPS ticket and 200 FTPs/$1 for a $75 MTOPS ticket).

If you prefer cash game poker and do not wish to spend your FTPs on tournaments, you can purchase ring game tickets (which fund your buy-in and then are converted to cash when you leave the table). Again, you should always purchase the Game of the Week tickets. A $5 Ring Game ticket costs 320 FTPs/$1, but a $5 Ring Game of the Week ticket is just 256 FTPs/$1. As you can, these are both significantly worse value than the tournament and SNG tickets.
