Party Poker Rakeback Review
We do not recommend playing online with PartyPoker. Instead we strongly recommend that you download Americas Cardroom. Although the Winning Poker Network has slightly less traffic than the Bwin.Party network, Americas Cardroom more than make up for this with significantly lower rake and fees, and much higher rewards.

If site traffic is your primary concern, then you should instead download PokerStars. Although the rewards on PokerStars are not nearly as good as those offered by Americas Cardroom, they have about 5 times the amount of active players as PartyPoker!

In June 2017, PartyPoker replaced their loyalty rewards program with a much simpler "cashback" program. You no longer need to worry about status levels, or spending points on cash bonuses or tournament tickets. Now, you simply earn a cashback reward at the end of the week based on how many points you earn. Although the new PartyPoker cashback rewards program seems much better than the previous loyalty rewards, it's actually horrible for casual players (you need to generate $25/week in rake and fees or you get NOTHING). Not only that, but the site now offers far fewer additional promotions, and it was these promotions that made PartyPoker the best poker site online for many players.

PartyPoker's cashback rewards are misleading. For example, you do not earn 20% cashback at the first level, but rather get $5 cashback if you earn 25 points (you earn 1 point for every $1 paid in rake or fees). While this is 20%, you only earn 20% cashback if you earn exactly 25 points (or 50, 75 or 100)! If you earn 30 points, you still only get $5 (since the next cashback reward is $10 at 50 points), which is 16.7% cashback. If you earn 49 points in a week (1 point shy of the $10 cashback bonus), you would earn just 10.2% cashback!
Cashback rewards reset every week, so if you earn 24 points with PartyPoker each week for a year, you will earn 0% cashback! You also need to opt-in every week, which is annoying and feels like an under-handed attempt to avoid paying players by adding an additional step.
Party Poker Promotions
In addition to the Party Poker cashback rewards, there are also 3 additional PartyPoker promotions:
- Get Started Missions (Ongoing) - Complete 7 missions in order to win various rewards. We will cover this in more detail in the PartyPoker Deposit Bonus section.
- Cash Game Missions (Ongoing) - Party Poker offer 2 cash game missions, which can be completed on any Holdem cash game tables (excluding heads-up). Each mission rewards $25 upon completion, and players can only work on a single mission at a time:
- Win a hand at showdown with every pocket pair, in order, from AA to 22.
- Win a hand at showdown with every hand rank, in order, from 1 pair to a straight flush.
- Sit-and-Go Missions (Ongoing) - Party Poker also offer 2 missions for Sit-and-Go players. Players can only work on a single mission at a time:
- $10 bonus reward: Play 3 SNGs/day for 3 days, eliminate 1 player each day, and win a hand at showdown with AA, KK, QQ, JJ, and TT as hole cards.
- $25 bonus + $5 cash reward: Play 5 SNGs/day for 5 days, eliminate 5 players each day, and win a hand at showdown with 22, 55, 77, 88, and 99 as hole cards.
These promotions are actually pretty good, especially the Sit-and-Go missions. However, they only offer a one-time bonus, so are more like a sign-up bonus than an ongoing promotion.

Party Poker Bonus Code
You do not need to enter a bonus code to qualify for each of the Party Poker promotions listed in this review. However, you may need to opt-in for several of them.

Party Poker Freerolls
PartyPoker frequently offer freeroll poker tournaments as part of promotions, especially satellites for upcoming live events. However, unlike many online poker sites, you must have a real money poker account to play freerolls with PartyPoker.
PartyPoker also offer "cent-rolls". These are like regular poker freerolls, except that they cost 1¢ to enter. The entry fee is insignificant compared to the prize pools, but it is actually a great idea that benefits both Party Poker as well as the players. For Party Poker, these tournaments encourage players to at least make a minimum deposit. For you, the advantage is that this minimal entry fee dramatically reduces the number of entrants. Most sites that offer hourly freerolls end up with an average value of 2-3¢. However, PartyPoker cent-rolls have an average value of 10-15¢...and they're available every hour! You're essentially paying 1¢ to eliminate 80% of the competition! Additionally, to qualify for the Bankroll Booster freerolls, you must earn 2 status points during the previous week.

Note that the only tournament in the above table that is still offered on PartyPoker is the $1.10 Tickets - Cent-roll. The other tournaments were offered in April 2017 and are merely a representation of the typical value of freerolls and cent-rolls regularly offered as part of PartyPoker's regular promotions.
Party Poker Instant Play
PartyPoker Instant Play allows you to play poker from within your browser, without any download or installation required. This gives you instant access to PartyPoker from any computer!
Party Poker Instant play is available for use on both PC (Windows XP/Vista/7 and desktop mode of Windows 8) and Mac (OS X 10.5 and above, 64-bit systems only) for the following browsers:
- Internet Explorer 7 and above
- Mozilla Firefox 14 and above
- Safari 5.1 and above
- Chrome 17 and above
Unfortunately, since Instant Play uses Java, it cannot run on iPads or other tablets, nor can it be used on mobile phones.
Party Poker Mobile
Although you cannot use Instant Play to play online with PartyPoker on your mobile phone or tablet, Party Poker do offer:
- PartyPoker mobile for iOS, which allows you to download Party Poker on your iphone or ipad
- A Party Poker mobile app for Android

Party Poker for US Players
Currently, the only option for playing on PartyPoker for US players is nj.partypoker.com. To use this site, which is a collaboration between PartyPoker and Borgata casino, players must physically be located in New Jersey. Note that this is a separate network, meaning that you will only be playing against other players in New Jersey. As a result, the traffic on the Party/Borgata network is very low.
US players who do not reside in New Jersey cannot play on PartyPoker and should instead check out our list of the best online poker sites for us players.

Maximizing Your PartyPoker Rakeback
If you decide to play on PartyPoker, you want to make sure you get the most out of the generous PartyPoker sign-up bonuses and "Getting Started" promotions. Follow the advice in that section, and you can get $62 free, plus another $100 from deposit bonuses!
For cashback rewards, make sure you opt-in every week! Forcing players to opt-in to receive their rewards is one of the reasons we do not recommend this site as it's a rather scummy attempt to deny rewards to their players. You also need to try to make sure you do not fall just short of the next cashback reward. Earning 49 points in a week pays just $5 (10.2% cashback), whereas earning 50 points pays $10 (20% cashback). If you typically generate rake just shy of the next cashback percentage increase, you should also grind a little extra each week. For example, 1,000 points in a week rewards $300, but 1,200 points rewards $480. That additional $200 paid in rake & fees rewards you with an additional $180 in cashback rewards!
However, if maximizing your rakeback rewards is your goal, then our best advice is to play on an online poker site that gives better rewards! PartyPoker Mission Rewards
We have analysed each mission to determine which is easier to complete.
PartyPoker Cash Game Missions
Do not chase Cash Game mission rewards! Simply activate a mission, and let them complete naturally. If you focus on trying to win with specific hands, or slow-playing big hands to ensure you win at showdown, you could end up losing more money than the missions are worth!
- Pocket Pairs - This should take approximately 17,000 hands to complete.
- Final Hands - This mission should take approximately 50,000 hands to complete.

Both cash game missions reward $25, so obviously you should start with the easiest mission (pocket pairs) first. The stakes you play will obviously have a huge impact on the average rake you can expect to pay to complete each of these missions. As you can see from the table, these missions are not worth chasing. Instead, think of them as a nice little bonus if you are already planning to play cash games. If you do not typically play cash games, then do not do so just to try to complete the cash game missions!
Do not jump back and forth between missions! You may be tempted to give up on a mission once it gets difficult, and start knocking off the easy steps on the other mission. However, you do not get paid for completing steps so all this does is delay the time before you get your first reward!
Party Poker Sit & Go Missions
If you plan to play 5 or more Sit-and-Go's every day for 5 days in a row, then start with that mission, because its rewards are better ($25 bonus, plus $5 cash). If either 5 SNGs/day, or playing for 5 days straight is a challenge, then start with the other mission (3 SNGs/day for 3 days).
Unlike the cash game rewards, PartyPoker Sit-and-Go missions are absolutely worth doing, even if you do not regularly play SNGs! Playing 3 x $1.10 SNGs/day for 3 days costs just $9.90 and rewards $10 in cash bonuses. However, the actual cost is just 90¢; the other $9 is invested in the prize pool, and if you're not planning to finish in the money in at least some of these SNGs, then why are you even here? Playing 5 x $1.10 SNGs/day for 5 days costs $27.50 ($2.50 actual cost) and rewards $25 in cash bonuses, plus $5 cash.
You may need to play an extra couple of SNGs to complete the daily hand requirements. If you do not typically play SNGs, then go ahead and chase these mission requirements (that is, try extra hard to win with the required pocket pairs to reduce the number of SNGs you must play each day).
If you do not regularly play SNGs, then start with the 3 SNGs/day mission. If things go well and you are able to profit from the combined SNGs and mission rewards, then move on to the 5 SNGs/day mission.
