The Bwin.Party poker network no longer offers full table cash games. However, they do offer a good selection of games for all 6-handed and heads-up play, with No Limit hold’em poker the most active.
If you enjoy 6-handed texas holdem at micro to small stakes, you will especially enjoy FastForward tables, where you are instantly taken to a new table as soon as you fold your hand. Unfortunately, FastForward poker is not available for heads-up play. For regular 6-handed tables, the Bwin.Party poker network offers plenty of activity across a wide range of stakes for No Limit Hold'em, Pot Limit Omaha and Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo.
For heads-up play, the Bwin.Party poker network has lots of action for No Limit Hold'em, Fixed Limit Hold'em, and Pot Limit Omaha.
PartyPoker rake is average at best. After taking advantage of the great poker sign-up bonuses on either bwin.party digital entertainment poker site, you are probably better off playing cash games elsewhere. For example, the Winning Poker Network offers the lowest rake of any network we have reviewed so far.
Bwin.Party Poker Tournaments
The Bwin.Party poker network offers almost exclusively texas holdem tournaments. The network does offer a couple of Pot Limit Omaha and Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo tournaments each day, but if these are the types of tournaments you prefer, then you would be better off playing poker tournaments on a different network.
Breaks are coordinated, which is convenient for players who play multiple tables for long sessions. A 5 minute break is given to all tournament players from 5 minutes before each hour. Even better, the break starts when the last hand on all tables has been completed, so players are always guaranteed a full 5 minute break (although if playing multiple tables, the other tables may resume earlier).
The Party Poker network charge pretty standard fees for all tournaments, although bwin.party digital entertainment fees for tournaments <$1 are amongst the lowest available online.
Bwin.Party poker tournaments get anywhere from <100 entries to over a thousand, so you are guaranteed to find whatever size of tournament you prefer. However, if you decide to regularly play the larger field tournaments, you should learn about managing your poker tournament bankroll.
