bwin Poker Loyalty Rewards

When bwin and PartyPoker merged, they could have combined to create one of the best poker websites. Instead, bwin poker was essentially absorbed. Although this means more traffic, it also means a much weaker loyalty rewards program. Bwin players earn 1 status point for every €0.50 paid in rake or tournament fees. Players who earn enough status points in a month gain status levels (Green, White and Yellow). Higher status results in better conversion of points into cash rewards and cash bonuses. Tournament players can also use their status points to buy into several points-only tournaments, or they can purchase tournament dollars.

Although bwin offers plenty of freeroll tournaments to all players every day, the value of each is extremely low, making them a good deal only for Casual to Enthusiast players.

The lack of additional freerolls for players who achieve higher status levels, along with a weak poker vip rewards program that restricts monthly cash bonuses and rewards makes bwin a poor choice for any player who generates more than $1,000 per year in rake and/or tournament fees.

Pros & Cons

bwin Deposit Bonus

bwin offers a 100% deposit bonus to a maximum of $500 to real money poker players. Players earn the bonus in $10 increments, which are earned for every $27.78 contributed in rake or tournament fees (36% rakeback). Players have 60 days to earn the bonus.

bwin's online poker room offers good value from their new player freerolls. There are two daily satellites (worth approximately $0.15) to their weekly $5,000 Bankroll Booster as well as a weekly $1,500 New Player Freeroll, worth approximately $0.61.

The ability to grind daily freeroll satellites may be appealing to low limit tournament players. However, players who play poker online for money and generate more than $9,000/year in rake & fees playing poker online will find the $500 maximum deposit bonus disappointing.

Maximizing Your bwin Rakeback

To maximize the benefits of any rewards program, you should play as many free online poker tournaments as possible. However, most bwin freerolls have very low value, so unless you are interested in grinding free poker money, they are not worth playing.

Oddly, status points are earned at a slower rate on bwin than Party Points on PartyPoker. As a result, none of the points-only tournaments are worth playing on bwin.

Tournament players on bwin can buy tournament dollars at a rate of $1 for 20 status points, which is the best option for players until they achieve White status. Once you reach White status, the best option is to purchase cash bonuses, which are easily earned. The worst option is cash rewards until players achieve Yellow status, at which point cash rewards replace tournament dollars as the 2nd best option for spending status points. Unfortunately, bwin limits the amount of cash bonuses and cash rewards players can purchase each month.

For players who do not wish to purchase tournament dollars, the best option is always to buy bonus cash. Once you exceed the monthly maximum, the second best option is cash rewards.
